Thinking about getting a prism soon, but had a few questions about the travel charger (the HS site is a little vague).
-It looks like you can plug one end into a standard socket and the other into the prism to charge it. Is this accurate?
-Can you leave it plugged in, or do you have to unplug it once fully charged?
-Any memory effect concerns with the prism battery?

Thanks for any info..just want to be sure before I buy.

Yep, you plug it into the wall and connect the cable to your visor. It charges in exactly the same manner as the hotsync cradle, ie you can leave it on without any adverse effects - the Prism will simply stop charging when the batery is full.

I've had no problems with the travel charger. There is, however, a string out there about memory issues. My experience is that once fully charged -- my Prism drops 1% of charge every three seconds until it shows 93% -- and then works normal. I get regular battery usage with no problems.

Ah. That's very interesting. I was just about to post a note on that. I bought the battery pack emergency charger, and I was horrified after charging to suddenly see the battery percent drop by one percent every few seconds for awhile, as if the charge didn't take.

For the record, I bought both the travel charger and the battery pack charger. If I don't have to run through AA batteries, I won't. And this way I don't have to constantly connect and disconnect my cradle's charger from USB hub (the battery pack will work with the included charger from Handspring, but then you have to disconnect it and take it along....)

BTW, anyone have a clue as to how many charges you can get out of the 4 AA battery pack?

I got 4 charges last week but they were not full charges. My batteries were at about 50% each night.

I have both the Handspring Travel Charger and the Battery Box and Car Charger from Talestuff - http://www.talestuff.com/

When I travel I use the Travel Charge at night in my hotel - this seems to meet my needs about 90% of the time.

I have had to use the battery charger a few times. I get one one full charge from standard Alkalines but 2 charges from the new advanced formula batteries. I don't use it enough to carry rechargeable batteries, so I don't know how they work.

I have never needed to use the car charger.
