I came across this reply on the Visor Village boards to a post asking whether anyone had seen a Visor in stores yet:

"Hi-I am the one who saw Visors in Staples. I live in Indianapolis Indiana. Nick H."

Could it be? Hmmm . . .

Well, I'm in Indy and haven't seen the Visor in any stores yet, but then again, I haven't checked Staples. I'll have to check it out...

Cool.

Way back somebody claimed to have bought a Visor (2 Mb) in some store in the Caribbean. Dunno if its true, but if so, it can't be the real retail channel.

I called Staples in Bloomington, IN and they have no info on the Visor (never heard of it) and they had never heard of the Palm IIIxe or the IIIc either. They did say that they had quit stocking the IIIx and would not get them any more.

My wife has spoken with purchasing agents from Staples (US) and they have confirmed that they are currently in negotiations with Handspring to stock the Visor line in their US stores. Unfortunately, no word yet on Canadian stores beyond the vague promises made on Handspring's website.

I spoke with my local OfficeMax earlier this week and the manager checked the computer said that there were no Handspring products *at all* in their system. He said that their computer covered all the OfficeMax stores.

So no Visor in OfficeMax stores yet
