Received my thinmodem plus from plamgear.com on Saturday and it did nothing when inserted into my Visor Deluxe! Tried resets but to no avail. Pronounced it dead and am getting ready to return it.

Anybody else have a similar experience? Or is it just things evening out for me getting a fantastic working magellan the night before?

Nope, mine (Direct from CardAccess) worked fine. I have heard a couple reports of broken connectors on the original & my Plus had a little mold stub, from where they filled the mold with the plastic, which I just used an X-acto knife to remove.

Since the Thinmodem is powered by the Visor, you might want to make sure you have a fresh set or fully charged batteries and try it. If you already did that, then it's possible Mr. Murphy has reared his ugly head.
