Hi everyone. I've had a SpringPort modem for a couple of days, used with a Visor Platinum, and I've noticed that my emails seem to take forever to batch download from my ISP's server. Even at so-called 56K, it can take up to 10 seconds for each (of some admitedly lengthy) messages to flow into my Visor. I realize that a Palm-OS unit is no Pentium laptop, but I still thought plain-text messages would downloader quicker than this. I often have 50-60 messages queued up at a time (several high-volume mailing lists), and the time needed to grab them all is just too much.

Is this normal for the Xircom, or could I perhaps have a marginal unit. Batteries are fresh, by the way.
