Quest for the Holy Case

Many days and nights have I searched the land, questing for that Most Holy Case for my Visor.

In earlier times when I did own a Visor Deluxe, I first tried the included hard cover. Disappointed with the hard cover, I tried also the soft sleeve for the Deluxe. I found it too bulky for my purposes. I next tried a home-made patchwork, grafting the soft case onto the hard cover as some had suggested. This did look quite 'ghetto' and was not terribly sturdy. Next, I tried the EB Slipper Visor. While this did have a certain utility to it, I found its material too flimsy and ugly, and found even the belt clip to cause much awkwardness when getting in and out of my car, no matter which hip I kept it on. I then also tried the RhinoPak 2000, which did carry both my Deluxe and my Stowaway well, but which was rather too bulky. I finally tried Handspring's slim leather case, but was much disappointed with its lack of protection and meagre storage space.

I then did encounter Handspring's trade-up to the Edge, and thus did purchase the Edge, whilst giving away my Deluxe to my fairest lady. The lady, lucky she is, is simply able to carry the Deluxe in her purse. :-)

Now with the Edge I did begin a new quest. First, I tried the simply metal flip cover included with it, and found this good for most occasions. But I wanted something more protective. So I did then purchase the Sleek Metal Case for the Edge. I found this case to be well-armoured in appearance, but it did add a slight bulk and weight when I carried it in my pockets. In addition, I discovered unpleasantly that it did not provide protection even equal to a child's armour, when my Edge was accidentally cast to yond floor. My most recent venture into the breach of Casing has been Handspring's slim leather case for the Edge. Apparently my education in casing was not good enough while I was the owner of the Visor - the Slim Leather case did disappoint again.

Now fair Lords and Ladies... hast thou any suggestions for thy beleaguered questor? Shall I never find the Holy Case for which I seek? For now I do contend with the metal flip cover of Edge-ly origins... but I fear the day that another mishap shall snuff it.

The Royal Case

You need to visit www.vajacases.com where you can feast your eyes on the Holy Grail of PDA cases.

The workmanship, materials and fit make it the finest case anywhere (IMHO).

The smell and feel are a pure bonus.

Available with a belt clip that's worthy of the job.

same case here ;-)

First, I bought an Edge with metal case. Then, bought a slim leather case. Now, I have a custom case http://discussion.visorcentral.com/...;threadid=19443

My only problem is that I ordered a Visorphone, and I cannot find the right case for the combo...I think that I'll buy finally the visorphone leather case from Handspring...

You can take a look at www.ebcases.com. They have a really nice slim case for the Edge.
