Question

Which is the best way to back up your visor?

Posted by kalahari on 09-30-2000 03:29 PM:

BackupBuddy is the best way to go

BackupBuddy is something that you shouldn't be without. After a couple of Fatal Errors and Visor failures in the last year, it's the only way to get everything back.

I also have Backup and Flash modules. The Flash module is not really useful for backup.

The Backup module, which was a gift, could be useful for backup if you don't update your software very often. I have over 125 apps on my Visor (with Flash) so I am frequently updating versions. My Datebook, Contacts and Memos are continually being updated too. My Backup module is therefore always out of date.

Wink backup module

Backup Module is the way to go! Especailly when you are away from your computer for a long period of time. You can take care of the "update" problem the previous poster talka bout by backing up your visor everytime you make updates or every day or so. The Old information will be erased by the new information on the backup module when you backup..so you always have the freshest stuff on the module.

Thumbs up

110% Backup Module. I work full time and go to school full time so I am always on the go. When I am on the train to class or vice versa, or even downtown sometime and don't have a battery set, or even install an app that the developer released with bugs the backup module is the perfect safety blanket. I bought my Handspring the first day so I haven't looked the prices, but if they are still $40 it will pay itself off the first time you need to hard reset or run out of juice.

I also use BackupBuddy at home. Two shields are better than one.
