Best Distributed Computing Program?

I've got a delemma. I can't decide which Distributed Computer Program to be a part of. Until recently, I've been part of SETI@home. But now, it doesn't really work with Windows XP right, and I found out that there are other programs, which I think go to better causes (curing cancer, etc.). I recently joined Folding@home, but I have no idea what it's doing. There was just an article of MSNBC.com about fightanthrax@home . I decided that there really aren't as many people suffering with anthrax than there are cancer patients. So, which one do you think is best?

I devote my spare cycles to distributed.net crunching RC5-64 keys and OGR stubs, so I voted other.

I suppose if you want something that might potentially benefit mankind, I would pick folding@home (protein folding) or UD's cancer project

distributed.net is probably the grandaddy of all the other distributed computing projects out there now. In fact most of the distributed.net people work for UD now.

The current RC5-64 contest (sponsored by RSA Labs) they're working on now is a brute force attempt to crack a message by going through each and every possible key.

The OGR-24/OGR-25 contest is a search for an optimal golumb ruler, which I gather is related to finding the shortest ruler of 24/25 segments where each segment is a unique length. Something like that anyway. There is a better explanation over at the distributed.net website. OGR has applications for things like antenna design.

So, it looks like I'll go with either Folding or Cancer, and I'm leaning towards Cancer. Any final suggestions?

Done. My computer is now curing cancer. For team HVUS.

This is by far the most advanced software, UIwise. Some questions:

What are points?
I don't want to work on Anthrax@home, but if I say I don't want to, it says it won't donate to the Make-a-Wish foundation. What should I do?
What is actually being donated to the make-a-wish foundation?
What does it mean where it says "max. storage"? I made it high, but does that mean I'll get big download's? I only have 56k (yeah right, not even that).

Thanks.

My Treo 600 is my phone, my PDA, my watch, and my MP3 player. Oh yeah, I take a picture once in a while with it. Convergence is such a great thing.

there used to be prizes.... now they only have to do with the make-a-wish thing

Please put the anthrax option in. For every 3000 points you earn, 1 mile is donated to the make-a-wish foundation

see above answer

at this point, the max storage does nothing but get you more points.
