well, i did it. i just ordered my visor deluxe (ice, if anyone cares...) they tell me it should be here in 4-6 weeks. can't wait!

My household just ordered 2 -- Orange for my wife (to match her pre-ordered iBook) and an Ice for my son.
I asked about demand overwhelming availability. The salesperson assured me they would keep up. Hmmmmmm. We will see. Hopefully the ship date will be earlier rather than later in October.

Has anyone who ordered yesterday gotten an e-mail confirmation yet? I ordered mine pretty early and I haven't gotten an e-mail confirming my order. It occurs to me that there's a high possibility of error if they're taken information manually. I'd hate to wait through October, only to find out that my order had gotten lost and never processed!

Yeah, me too! I called pretty early yesterday morning. If everyone's taking orders, I wonder who's sending the e-mail confirmations? Also, it's pretty easy to get an e-mail address wrong--just one typo.
Oh, well, I guess time will tell. Hopefully they have their act together.

Just ordered 2 Visor Deluxe (Blue, graphite) for myself & hubby. Also ordered Backup module and modem module when avail. Nice lady taking order said ship in 6 weeks from today and email confirmation within one (1!) week! So much for hi-tech comm. speed! She said they were swamped with orders - unexpectedly good response! Hope she got my orders right ..... Eagerly awaiting both orders and units!

I too ordered my Visor yesterday and have not recieved a confirmation number. When I called back today to change the color I ordered (from blue to graphite), they took all of my information again except credit card info. Seems the orders are not yet in their systems. . .

I ordered mine yesterday from Australia. Waited 3/4 hour in the queue. But couldn't resist.
Dissapointed they can't ship direct to me. I have to ship to a friend in the US and get it forwarded.
So much for the connected planet. Maybe it's an export licence thing but that seems silly.
