I just got my new VDX yesterday and picked up some 3M inkjet transparencies for my homemade screen protectors. Now it is perfectly protected! Here is what I did: After messing around with different measurements, I found that using 7x8.1cm is the best to go for. The screen size is actually 6x8.1cm. The extra 1 cm on the width is for insertion to the gap on both sides of the VDX screen, so that it is attached to your Visor. I found that the transparencies have slightly different thinkness, so, one might easily to be slipped into the screen gap, while one might be harder. For harder ones (which I encountered in trial), remove the four screws on the Visor and pull the case very lightly (don't have to actually seperate the front and back!) while you slip the transparency in. This enlarges the gap for easier insertion. Remember to clean the Visor screen and place the printable side of the transparency facing you. The texture of the printable side not only helps reduce glare, but also makes you feel more like writing on real paper :>

Cool

Thanks for the advice. Quick question...Did you have to loosen the casen for the brand of transparencies you mentioned? Getting a screen protector will be one of my first priorities based on what I've heard about the stocked stylus.

I found that for the brand I use, even it's the same package, there are very slight difference in the thinkness. When I was testing out the sizes, the one that I use was slightly thinner, and I didn't have to loosen the case. But when I actually apply the final size, this one is a bit thicker, so I have to loose the case a bit. Just try sliding the transparency and see if it goes in the gap, if not, then loosen. Let me know if you would like the template I made / used. Hope this help.
