-- Flashing "Palm Computing Platform" (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=10550)
Help,
I was beginning a synch -- usb connected to computer and visor deluxe turned on. Anled the visor in from right to left. Fatal Error message appeared and visor was frozen.
Tried a soft start and that did not work. Tried a second time and finger must have been on on/off button.
Next thing I know is that visor is asking if I want to delete data. I pushed down button but nothing happened.
In a moment I got a flashing "Palm Computing Platform". that is all I have now -- can not operate visor.
Hope I have not lost data since Christmas.
Help and thanks
David
You can try a soft reset and see if that brings the Visor back to life. Be prepared to have to reinstall everything, though. You may have done a hard reset and wiped out all your data.

I've had the same problem.... flashing screens
I've had the same problem over and over with the flashing intro screen. My Visor Deluxe will give me a "fatal error" about once a week, with no chance to soft reset. Every time it flashes, I have to do a hard reset and reload everything.
Does anyone know how to bypass the flashing screen to keep your Visor's data?
I'm returning mine to Best Buy (luckily I bought the warranty) for another.... maybe an upgrade to the Platinum.
I know, I know! The same thing happened to me several times. I did a warm reset and deactivated all the hacks I had, and after each one I got a fatal error, then warm reset and did the next hack. After the last one, the Visor worked fine and I reactivated the hacks no problem.
