-- Please can/will anybody help on 2 pc sync issues (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=10769)
I am trying to get clear idea on keeping Co. email/home
email as separate folders. Same with contacts. Can PocketMirror Pro do this or do I need to combine with Intellisync. Using outlook & 98.
I guess what I would do is make home contacts in a folder and go back and mark them all private. Not sure about email yet.
I have been waiting for better understanding before syncing work laptop.
Any help would be great!!

anybody?
For contact separation, you will need to use PocketMirror 3.0 Pro *and* create a category or categories in the Address Book (and Contact subfolders in Outlook) to physically separate the home and corporate contacts.
The PocketMirror FAQs/site has additional details on this (and there's a nice snapshot on what it'll look like on the Outlook 9x/2K side). From the looks of things, if your corporate installation of Outlook isn't using a Personal Address Book, I would suggest creating one and using PocketMirror Pro to place your personal contacts in the local file.
That way, it's not visible to the Exchange server, in case you're concerned about other things/people getting access to your personal stuff. And it has a side benefit of you not having to mark every single contact in your Visor as Private.
As for separation of emails, you should be aware that PocketMirror Pro has nothing to do with e-mail synchronization. From my own observation, I believe you'll have to use the mail/conduit package from Eudora (Eudora Internet Suite) or from Actual Software/Palm (MultiMail PRO)-- but only *if* you are not receiving all of the mail into one desktop mail application (there might be an exception to EIS if you're using Eudora as your desktop mail app--- I don't know since I'm using the MultiMail solution).
I do this with MultiMail PRO and the Windows version of their MultiMail Conduit. Since I use Outlook 2000 for corporate mail and OE 5.x for my personal mail on the same computer, I configured the MultiMail Conduit to sync the corporate mail with a designated MultiMail mailbox on the Visor and the personal E-Mail to the built-in Mail app ( I could have also have pointed it to another designated MM mailbox on the Visor ).
However, if you're receiving the world in a single desktop mail application on your PC, I think you'll be better off with the Eudora solution.
A World of Thanks!!
Project Zero,
Thanks for your detailed reply. I was planning to just go for it on my own Saturday. Now I feel your solution will save me much error & trial!
Thanks again,
Brian S
