Dead Stowaway?
Anyone ever have a Stowaway keyboard seemingly just die on them? I.e., the VDX just won't respond to keyboard input.
This is on a VDX. I've tried un-installing and re-installing the keyboard s/w.....including several different versions of the driver (covering both the original and the latest). I've tried disabling hacks (normally only run McPhling and the DiddleBug Screen Cap anyway). I've tried removing the VisorPhone. And all of the above with soft resets at seemingly appropriate points.
It would seem the only remaining possibility would be a bad contact between the VDX and the Stowaway. But that *seems* to be snapping into place and connecting as expected...at least as far as the eye can tell.
I'll be off to tech support with this same question, but thought maybe someone here might have experienced the same misfortune and found a solution.
Thanks!

This is kind of a stupid thing, but since you didn't say you did it, here goes ...
Did you enable the keyboard?
I mean, just installing it isn't enough. You have to turn it on. (I hear it likes a nice back rub and an Italian dinner, maybe a romantic movie.)

One more dumb thing...
One more dumb thing that you probably already know, but have you made sure you are using the Handspring driver instead of the Palm driver?
To get mine to work I had to install the latest driver from their website. The one that came with it was an older version. Since I did that it has worked flawlessly.
After rereading your post it would appear that you have been using it already and then it quit working. My solution probably won't help you but it might be worth a shot.
