Question

What if any IR devices have you found that you cannot program into your Visor? Currently I am finding some level of difficulty with SONY stereo equipment. Any assistance in this mater will be greatly appreciated.

Actually, my Sony Power Cinema VCR (combo VCR and Receiver/Amplifier) is the only device which I've been unable to figure out all the features. Apparently some of the functions of the remote are on an unknown frequency or one not supported by the OmniRemote (specifically some of the tuner buttons and the jog dial).

I have no problem controlling my str-de825 receiver
Then again I don't really use the remote for more than volume control...it's pretty much already set up like i want it

I don't have the module, but I do have the registered shareware version of OmniRemote. I wasn't able to program most of the functions for my Sony Tuner or Sony CD Player. I thought maybe I just wasn't being patient enough, but I guess there might be more to it than that.

Lightbulb Fairly complicated, but not impossible.

After much trial and error I have learned that I need to set up selection buttons for each option (CD, Video etc.) From there assign the different functions to each of the options. Once all the programing is done it will be well worth the investment in time that it took to get completed.

Actually, that's one of the areas giving me trouble. Some of the buttons to switch devices (CD, Video, etc.) work fine. Others (like the VHS tuner and System Off button) are read by the program (the program "sees" the signal and does program IR codes for the button), but when actually trying to use them, nothing happens. Of course, I've never been motivated enough to try to contact Pacific Neotek yet. Not that bothered at the moment.

Wink Good luck

If you somehow manage to get through to them let me know how you did it. I have sent at least a half a dozen requests for information with no response to any of them.
