keyboard lag

whenever i enter my password--when going into a password-protected program, or after a system lock-out--i get almost a one-second lag for every letter i enter [by graffiti or keyboard]. it's slow and inaccurate. input in memo or quickoffice is fine, just very laggy when entering passwords. resets didnt help. it only happens on my Neo, never on Deluxe.
