I landed a MiniJam at the reduced price last week (The prices seem to have risen again, FYI) and I am happy with it except for an annoying static click that occurs at the beginning of each song. Anyone else notice this?

that may be due to software issues resolved by a later rev of the firmware... what's the "about" report as your firmware revision number? current is 4.01, i think...

the firmware version is 4.01.
I guess I'll test the highly disputed quality of the Innogear support crew next....by the way, for anyone that is curious, the Flat Panel Speakers are not so impressive.
An old pair of Sonys that I used to use with a portable CD player offer better sound, although not as cool in design...

Have you tested the mp3's on a desktop, and hear no clicking? It could just be the encoder.
