-- gsm accu using for visor ? (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=9664)
I was just thinking, is it possible to use a 1000+mhA lion accu (normaly used in a gsm) for my visor ?.
if it has a voltage between 2.4 and 3V and if i can fit it in my visor i don't see a problem, do you ?
only problem is what type of accu uses a voltage between 2.4 and 3V and is small enough to fit in the visor.
other idee:
what kind of battery is inside the prism, voltage, mhA, size (in mm please) can you put that in a visor deluxe ?
I would advise against this!
The VDx requires 2 AAA cells rated at 1.5v each for a total of 3.0v. Using a higher voltage cell would almost certainly lead to trouble. Even if it didn't, I'm sure it would void your warranty.
The Prism uses an internal LIon rechargeable that is not user accessible, therefore it cannot be used in the VDx.
If you're looking at battery options for a VDx, rechargeable NiMH's work just fine. There's also the FullCharge from eXtend Computer due to be released December 6th.
