This looks really cool! The flip cover was made from cheap floppy disk case and Springboard cover that comes with Visor. Palm logo was copied on a transparency sheet, and attached to the cover with clear double-sided tape. The only problem is that it cannot be used with Springboard module...

Molly(I think he is male) is really into customizing Visor & other electronics. Check out TRGPro with a jog dial & an ear phone jack, too.

Thumbs up

While we all sit here whining because some manufacturer is slow to release a product we want, you guys are creating it yourselves!

When I first got my visor, the touch screen stopped responding. I was "brave" enough to open it up and look around, and I found that the ribbon cable was loose in its socket. I think it would be fun to go beyone mere maintenance and make some custom springboards which would be easier (and safer) to do than on the Palm series.

Kinda funky.

What I'm more interested in, and couldn't see too much of, is how he got the "wrist-strap" thing attached securely to the Visor. Could be a good idea.

I put a strap on my old IIIx, (not yet on my visor) but the procedure should be the same. Get the strap, open you visor, cut the flange (plastic ridge that fits into the upper portion of the casing) around one of the screw terminals(your choice) a few mm out or enough just for the strap, now put the strap on and re-assemble. Now it has a strap, Yipee!

(ps- if you think this is neat, you should see the modified gotype and the IR fiber optic cable)
