Dvorak Stowaway
Does anyone know if it is possible to convert the stowaway keyboard to a Dvorak Setup? Moving the keys would probably be relitivly easy, the problem is changing the software? Is there a hack that would do it? Perhaps Think Outside would release drivers that would let you do a software switch between Dvorak and QWERTY?

Already done:
Make sure you are using the latest stowaway driver from www.thinkoutside.com (or targus.com) Vrs 1.5 and on has this feature -
go to the layout section, by tapping the upper right hand corner in the keybaord app. under the layout list, choose English-Dvorak. The software will than reconize the keys in Dvorjak format. How you than make the keybaord look, that's up to you. I would suggest maybe (if your sure abotu thi) using a sharpie or whiteout or somethig to paint the numbers on. The keys are hard to take off an on IMHO..

changing keys
Presumably if you're using Dvorak you touch-type anyway, but it isn't too hard to remove the keys. It is kinda hard to put them back on sometimes.
Pry them up from the bottom edge to avoid breaking the little white plastic linkage. They should just snap off. To put them back, make sure the linkage is laying down flat. Place the key on top and press down--it should snap on. If it won't, re-position it and try again. The snap is pretty firm, but don't press REALLY hard. It is sometimes pretty tricky to get the snaps lined up right.
Not all of the keys are the same size--however, I think the Dvorak ones different from QWERTY are all square. If you don't feel like spending the 15mins-half hour to do this, you can always find little labels you can stick on the tops. Here's one source: http://www.fentek-ind.com/labels.htm
Good luck!
Well since I jsut LOVE to take apart $100 peices of equipment...
Note: Neither I, nor VisorCentral.com reccomends doing this. This will viod your warrenty, and I/We take no responsibility for any results that occur form this....
I was busy with tons of stuff, and so I took apart an old stowaway I had that had already busted, and rearranged part of the keys to dvorak. It worked pretty well except for where the "w" is, I never was able to get another key to snap back on. Surprisingly it was really easy... It's all up to you...

Well I kinda feel since I'm somewhat "staff" that I should disclaim that these thoughts are my own.. and even I myself dont' want to be held accountable for what others do... lawsuits are scary things... and so are angry e-mails
