It only says
"This item is not yet available. You may order it now and we will ship it to you when it arrives."

Have you received it already? Is it the new design?

nothing in the pictures suggests that this is the new design-no picture of the smartmedia inserted in the module...what did you see???

I apologize. There is no new desing I was just confused. I don't care if Amazon says it doesn't have it, and amazon has a bad record for that kind of thing. They have 1, listed in their stores. 2, I can, and will soon preorder it..

Sorry abotu the confusion everybody..

Amazon has had it listed like that for at least the month that I've been paying attention. According to a post from PI a week or two back, Amazon hadn't ordered anything. Probably waiting until they get enough orders in. Hey PiDeveloper, do you guys have a minimum order for your vendors?

Posted by enhanceyourlife on 05-19-2001 10:12 PM:

That has been on Amazon since 4/9. I emailed them the middle of April but couldn't find out any more than what it says on their site.

If I could have gotten a firm date from them, I would have ordered it from them. I've since ordered one from widget in Britain and should have one soon.

Am I always slow posting things?!?! The reason I want it from Amazon, is becasue I take surveys for www.vividence.com and they give me amazon money - and qouite a bit of it, so far I have $20! I think I'm goign to get memory withthat. And use cash to get it at Palmgear..

If you can deal with pitiful customer service and are willing to play the carrot and stick game with ship dates then PalmGear is the way to go.

If you're willing to wait but get an actual ship date that will be accurate then Amazon will be the way to go.

If you can afford an extra twenty bucks or so, order it from Widget in the UK. They have them and have promised 5-10 days shipping to the US. It will cost you 50.04 GBP which translates to about $72.

Will I get the new one?

I understand that Amazon waits till they accumulate enuf orders to make a mass order, if they placed an order tomorrow would I get the new Memplug or the old one? Thanks for reading my question !!!

Got my memplug from Palmgear and love it. It took me more than one month since I placed my order,as soon as they told me they have received a few, I decided to pick up the Memplug from their office straight rather than wait for them to ship it to me since I lived in Dallas. Overall, the memplug is a little bit slow but is a must have for visor users.

tee10ten,

Is your MemPlug the old design (SM card sticks our 2mm) or new design (SM card flush inside module)?

It's still the old design.
