I purchased a Xircom modem, set it up and used it successfully for about a week to access email and browse the web with Avantgo.
Then i read a few threads about Browse-It and gave it a go. Browse-It installed ok, but as soon as I connected via the modem, my visor performed a fatal exception and the screen froze.
Not being the brave sort (or having the time to experiment) I deleted Browse-It and returned to AvantGo but the problem continued. Forced into finding the time, I performed a hard reset, then used the Springport immediately before restoring any data/apps. The fatal exception still occurred.
I then checked xircom tech support and one of the FAQ's suggested installing Mobile Link from the module on the visor. Still no success.
Has anybody got anymore ideas before I file a return?
Try changing the modem batteries. The low battery warning on mine is intermintent at best.
