Hi, I am about to get a Visor Deluxe. However, I need to know if it supports Windows 2000. If not, I won't get it. I only have W2k installed on all my systems...

yes it is. I have been using my Viser Dlx with win2K for a while now an no problems at all.

Just make sure you have the latest version of the Palmdesktop software that is Win2K compatible.
You can download this from the HS website.

Unhappy

I recently upgraded my laptop from Win98 to Win2K and syncing via USB is a breeze on both OS's. One disadvantage with Win2K is that you cannot sync via IR. I was using IrLink1.5 with Win98 and it was awesome leaving my cradle at home, now I am back to taking it back and forth...

I spent the $20 and bought the USB cable. It fits in my laptop bag (acutally a backpack) without really taking up any space. It just has the USB connector on one end and a connector that fits into the Visor on the other. No bulky cradle. Worth the $ IMHO.

What the Heck! It's what I want!

Me, too, but for a desktop unit at work. I like the cable because it lets me sync without have to remove my Visor from its RhinoSkin Shock Suit Sport Case (that's a mouthful )

Yes, I was aware of this connector and I am sure it is a good alternative that fits nice in a laptop bag. I was only trying to point out the fact that Win2K does not support IR syncing which stinx. I did not know the cable was only $20 though, I just might get one for my laptop, thank.
