Question

The LCD on my Visor Deluxe begins to fade after it has been on a few moments. If I press the screen or back of the Visor it will become readable again, but then will fade again.

Has anyone else experienced this? If so will I need to ship it to Handspring for repair or are there any other options?

Thanks for your help in advance.

have you checked your batteries and contrast settings?

I am having the same problem. It started just a few days ago but its happening very often now. I called Handspring tech support. They asked me to hard reset and confirm that the problem still exists i.e. to ensure that it is a hardware problem and not because of some application (I read on this forum that Avantgo may cause it sometimes).
Anyway, it is a hardware problem so Handspring is sending me a replacement while they get mine repaired.

I suggest you do the same (after a Hotsync and backup).

Cool Fading LCD

Thanks Wakari for your suggestion. I called Handspring today and they are shipping me a replacement. It's nice to know some companies understand customer service and stand behind their products.

Now I really love my Visor!!!!!
