-- LCD liquid reflection, what is normal? (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=2726)
Only in certain environment - have I noticed the liquid reflection from the screen. Specifically, inside department stores with lots of flourescent lights - only in sotres, not the flourescent lights I have at home.
The rflections "circles" compromise about 66% of the screen from the bottom to the top in a rectangular area.
What is normal for these larger screens? This is my 1st PDA, - so I do not know what is normal.
I did not notice it in the workable store display models. However - I do not know what manufacturing differences - if any - were made for floor models that get abused by store clientel during the day - and abused by store employees playing with everythign at night (and they do).
I notice them the reflection only at certain angles in brightly lit stores. I am at home - under an array of 90watt lightbulbs - and can not see any reflection. The PDA is about 2 days out of the box.
Do you mean a set of rainbow rings like a bull's eye, much like oil on water?
I'd call up Handspring if I were you.
In Palm PDAs at least, this is considered a defect covered under the warrenty.
LCD problem
When I took out my Visor today I discovered that there was an appearance in the screen much like oil on water. I can't make it go away. What is this?
