-- I want to see pictures of peeling paint... (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=12241)
For those of you who are suffering from the peeling paint issue with your Prisms, I'd appreciate seeing some visuals to see how bad the peeling is. Does the paint just fade, or does it really peel like the skin on a potato?? I want to be able to catch this problem if it occurs on my Prism as well.
And should I expect that, because HS will be sending me another unit, I won't run into the peeling paint issue, or has HS yet to bring this issue under control?
Depending on when you got your prism you won't see the paint "peel." All their new units have a different paint job that is pretty permanent. And the paint wasn't so much a "peeling" as it was a wearing off. If your prism has a slightly darker color on the bottom lip in the back your paint has worn off.

Try this link to download a picture of my Prism with the paint fading: http://discussion.visorcentral.com/...?attachmentid=3
Notice that just under the reset button, the paint has totally come off. What you see is just two weeks after I owned the Prism. Now, the paint problem is even worse.

Not so sure about that... About 2 months ago, when I called HS about the paint process, I was told that they did have a new process that was more durable. So, I replaced mine at that time. This Prism's paint wore off more easily that the first one that I had. I'm just living with it.
If anybody's got a newer one that the paint is not wearing off like it's chaulk (ok, slight exaggeration), please let me know.
