-- Compact Flash Springboard Module (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=7979)
Does anyone know if there are any plans to develop a module that does nothing more than accept a compact flash card? I'd love a module that gave me 64 mb of ram, without any extra frills.
Well, according to the module page innogear has a MMC reader/writer TBA. That means anywhere from tomorrow to 18 months. I know that this is not CF, but it's a start.

In my copious spare time (yeah, I wish!) I'm working on a CF adapter design that you will be able to build yourself by making some simple mods to a PCMCIA - CF adapter card (available on Ebay for under $15). I'll have all the info on a web page as soon as I can get the driver software debugged ... hopefully by the end of the September.

I'd be really interested in seeing a cf adapter. I'd make it if I had to, but not having much technical ability when it comes to electronics, I'd also be willing to pay a pretty good dollar if you made them available.

Now this sounds promising... I've been toying with the idea of doing something similar with a PCMCIA modem card. Electrically, the Springboard slot and PCMCIA seem almost identical. I'd love to see how you've done this.
I realize I'm going way off topic here, so if you want to pick my brain about the interfacing issues, feel free to email me directly ([email protected]).__________________
