-- Patch killing batteries? (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=3165)
Okay now -- as I promised - here are my batteries result.
As shown with RunTime:
Duracell (normal)
Time since battery change: 22 Days 05:33 hours
Runtime: 0 days 19:40 hours
Voltage: 2.10
Then I changed the batteries and replaced them with the second set of Duracells (normal).
I have no hack activated. Sync twice a day and used the backlight for about 15 minutes.
I have the patch installed and I am also affected by the DRAM bug.
How about setting up a table with all of our battery results? We can gather more information on all the results.

The VDX I currently have is a replacement for my original one (case cracked at stylus holder). The "new" VDX is one with the memory problem. After putting on the patch, my battery life decrease significantly (40+ days with between 6 and 24 hours of runtime before the patch to 36 days with 1 hour runtime after the patch). Today I called Handspring and they are sending me another one.
One thing I found interesting. I called the Customer Care (toll free) number and selected Returns & Repairs (3). The woman I spoke to said I needed to call Tech Support (toll). From this number, I selected Returns & Repairs (3). Ended up getting the same customer service rep. She told me again to call Tech Support. I said I did and selected Returns & Repairs and was transferred to her. She took my information and said I would have a replacement in 3 to 5 business days.

when i called the 1-800 number listed on the site for returns and repairs, i got someone from the sales staff who didnt know anything about the dram issue. I had to call a long distance tech support number to get a replacement unit.
