They AIN'T that bad!

I've taken about 24 pictures or so with the HandCam and found them to be pretty decent a good 75 - 85% of the time. I don't have the blurring problem - on either Prism or desktop - that other have reported. The pictures are pretty fair quality for the $80 or so including shipping that I paid. If you're looking for a simple, fun module that allows you to send the folks at home pictures of the kids, new house, new car, etc., this is a very reasonable way to go. If you're looking to make digital photography a job or intense hobby, don't waste your time...
