Red face

NOOOOOOO! I scratched my screen a couple of days ago, I'll explain in a minute. It really doesn't bother me much, you only see it at a certain angle, and I use write wrights to cover the scrach and protect the screen, but it just eats away at me, and if you use the stylus on the bare screen, you can feel a slight catching going over the scratch.

Well, anyway, how I did it: I prefer the glass feel of the screen over write writes with the "plastic toothpic brand stylus", so I took my write wright off, it was scuffed up anyway. I was taking notes in class, like I always do, and I looked after school and I found the 2 minute scratches in the graffiti area ! I wanted to kill myself, even though I knew it wouldn't hut the functionality. I put a new write wright on, but I can't quite decide what to do with that darn scratch. Any ideas? Does anybody know if Donna Dubinsky (yes, I do know her e-mail, and no, you can't have it) will send replacement screens that you can install yourself, without any charge on my part?

Oh, and does anybody know if using a better stylus (I like the sound of that one that changes depending on the angle you hold it) feels better on the wright wrights or doesn't scratch the screen at all?

HELP!!!

I read somewhere (probably here at VC) that HS was going to do a one-time-only free screen replacement. However, I could never confirm nor deny this and really haven't seen any more about it. I suppose it's worth a try, though. The worst they could say is no and you'll have to pay for a new one ($75.00 I believe).

I use the PDA Panache in the graffiti area without any write-rights and have had no problems. So, yesterday I download Handwrite program, it basically turns the entire Visor screen into an etch-n-scetch. I thought it was pretty neat, so I doodled for about 2 minutes. After quitting, I thought I better really examine things (since I was so pleased I had no scratches for owning my BVD a month). When tilting the screen in just the right light, to my horror, I could read everything I had "doodled" above the graffiti area!!! It tells me that the designated part of the screen that is for free hand is much more resiliant than the upper portion. I am totally bummed and would also like to know what my options are for getting this resolved.
