In DateBk4 there is an option to change the font color of an item. When I try use this option with my Prism it is unavailable. I can change the font, but I cannot select a different font color. Does this feature only work with a Palm IIIc?

I also have a problem with AlbumToGo. I downloaded the color version and when I tried to open the app, I got a message that this version only works with a 8-bit color system. Has anyone else been able to get this to work?

No, I was selecting the text, went to menu / edit, selected font.

Your way works much better!

Thank you for teaching me correct way to use the product !!

DateBk4 and Prism and color

I had the same problem. Went from a Palm monochrome to the Prism. Wanted to try out the Datebk4 (registered version) color fonts. But the color wasn't there as an option.

Turned out the problem was in the transfer or synch of files, in switching from the Palm to the Prism.

I don't exactly know what fixed it. Maybe the info was in Saved Preferences. But re-synching seemed to do the trick.

Chrome 1.1 Problem

I've just download the new beta version of Chrome, ver. 1.1
A really neat program with great advantages for Prism users. Since the backlight of the Prism causes headaches due to the glare, I decided to make my background black and my fonts white. The great news were that, now I can read things much better without getting red eyes or dizziness. However, one of my favorite applications, DateBk4 has been affected by this change. Now, I can only see the time on todays date view, but if I want to see tomorrows or yesterday, no time shows up. Yes, I'm talking about the hours listed on the left side of the screen in the first view. Well, the third view doesn't work either. The funny thing is that everthing works fine in Date Book+ and Date Book.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Al

Question Double Alarms?

Hey, are you guys getting double alarms (from DateBk+ AND DateBk4)? I tried installing DateBkPlusStub, but it doesn't seem to stop the duplicate alarms...

You can get DateBk4 4.0d preview 5 from http://www.pimlicosoftware.com/datebk4preview.zip
This newest version has code in it to prevent the duplicate alarms. You no longer need DateBkPlusStub to be installed. I'm not finding any issues with this new beta version.

Exclamation

I can't get that link to work, but I'm in China so I can't get half of the internet to work sometimes. Anyone else having this problem?

I think the correct link is:

http://www.pimlicosoftware.com/datebk4-preview.zip

But reading through the "Fixes", I did not see any mention of the fix for Dup alarms. See:

http://www.pimlicosoftware.com/date...ease of DateBk4

I had e-mailed them last week about this issue, and they replied that the issue is a OS3.5 issue. They stated that they have a request into Palm but have not heard back and have not found a resolution for this problem.

Bret,

Thanks for fixing my URL posting for Datebk4 preview.

I do not have duplicate alarms on my Prism since I've installed the latest Datebk4 preview. I do not have DateBkPlusStub installed.

In a note that CESD (Datebk4 author) sent to beta testers, he said "Since the stubs no longer work on the OS 3.5 Visors, I have included code to quash DateBook+ alarms whenever DateBk4 runs. That should eliminate the need to set the default datebook to address this problem." Based on that comment, I think he has found a workaround.

I went back and looked at the reply I received and noticed it came from a person at "PalmGear H.Q. Sales Desk". I'm not sure why they would answer questions e-mailed to Pimlicosoftware.

Thanks for the info. I just downloaded the preview and will give it a try.
