Claiming Treocentral Posting World Record (Altitude)
Claiming Treocentral Posting World Record (Altitude)
I guess nobody has ever posted from a higher altitude: 3500 meter above sea level, 11483 feet, from the restaurant beneath Allalin, above Saas-Fee, Switzerland. Written on a semi-antique Treo 180.
Have fun, cheers,
clulup
OK, I better start looking for a tall mountain around here and try to top you.

? It's not Switzerland, remember
. BTW, I had very good connection at close to 12800 feet (3900 meter), but there I was in the shade (not on the sunny terrace any more), and my battery froze faster than I could write.
!
For years I have been posting below sea-level, now beat that!

1. That's another category anyway
2. How comes? Is Sydney below sea level? How much below?

Sorry guys, but
I could post here from the top of Breckenridge, Keystone in Colorado at about 12000 feet. Full strength on the signals up there, I guess they want to keep the rich skiiers happy

quote:OK, I'll go back to 12800 feet and try to post from there again (and try to keep the battery alive long enough)... unfortunately, I will have to wait until next year because I am already back in the lowland... until then, I guess the honor is all yours - unless of course someone can post above 12000 feet.

Any ideas mate?

I haven't tried it, but one assumes that the Treo would work on an airplane. That would beat any mountain, even K2. Or is it U2?
