-- Keeping Backup In the Visor? (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=2375)
I just got my backup module for my BVD, and it seems to be working flawlessly. Because I'm carrying the visor in a Rhinoskin case, it's much easier to leave the module plugged in to the Visor. Will leaving the backup module in the Visor damage anything(loss of data?)
Just curious.

It shouldn't damage anything, but if something were to happen to your Visor (stolen, run over, dropped off a pier, etc.), you'd lose your backup too. For this reason, I'd keep your Visor and backup module separated
The amount of battery drain while the Backup module is negligable, so that is not an issue. Like rtalain said, if you leave it in your Visor and something happens, you're out the Visor AND the backup.
