-- ISP Troubles (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=8265)
HEY, I am wondering if anyone else has had a "authentication error 0 x 1233" error trying to connect to their ISP. I've verified my settings in "Prefs" and the network settings are the same as the ones on my laptop.
I am able to dial out with my modem and connect with other terminal programs with no trouble. My ISP tech support person thinks that it might be compatibility problem with the ISP server and the PalmOS. I have not read of any other such problems. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank You In Advanced

Who's your ISP? Some are more "friendlier" than others-- but what that may really mean is that your ISP might be using additional authentication features than others. And that might hose up connectivity.
My ISP is a local company called NET-PORT. They run linux for their servers. They were not able to tell me if they use anything special for my login, just "username" and "password", and I copied the IP address that I use on my laptop and verified. Is there any software that will let me see what I am transmitting?
Thanks again...Dave
