How durable is the RED finish?

I was planning on buying the red Visor Edge.

It just occured to me that the red finish may scratch off more easily than the silver - or at least show the scratches more.

Help - color selection is the only thing holding me up from ordering the Edge.

Silver

I cant say for the red but I used a silver Edge pretty heavely for 2 months with out a case and zero marks or scratches, pretty good finish.

I'll second that. I read somewhere that the Silver Edge scratches easily, but I have NO idea what the author is talking about.

I've had my Edge for almost two months, never used a cover, and keep it in my pocket. I tend to not put other things in the same pocket, such as keys, change, etc., but it's held up wonderfully.

It really looks just like new!

Red Edge may hold up just as well, I just haven't ever even SEEN a red Edge.

By the way, you're going to love the Edge! My fifth PDA, and I absolutly love it.

I've had a Red Edge for about 3 months, never had it in a case, and usually just toss it in my purse. Nothing, not a dent, scratch or ding! If you're worrying about the finish, don't. It's as durable as a block of anodized aluminum. I've been very impressed with the fit and finish, and how well it's held up.

The edge uses anodized aluminum, that being said, the finish of a red edge will not be any different in durability compared to silver or blue. (I think it shouldn't)

I don't rememebr how anodizing works, but it's liek 100% pernament..

Thumbs up no problems

I have had an Edge and used it heavily with no finish problems -- so far.
