memplug-bought it on a whim

I was at compusa today and found this for under $10. I guess I really didn't understand what I needed for it. My question is all these apps that are suppose to come with are they to show up even though I don't have a card in the adapter? Thanks!

No they're on the springboard module, so you'll have to have the memplug in the visor for them to be usable.

That's what I thought, but when I put it in the visor I don't see anything.

I don't have my Memplug CF on me at the moment, but I believe that it doesn't "wake up" until a memory card is inserted. I seem to recall that the behavior was that same if I pulled the Memplug out completely, or if I just pulled the CF card out of the Memplug and left the Memplug installed in my Visor - it was as if the whole thing was removed (the applications on the Memplug disappeared from my launcher). Not sure if this applies to the other flavors of Memplug, but I'd guess that it does.
