I get your point. Imagining the government running any of the utilities I depend on makes me shudder...

to re-re-hijack the thread, I came across BFG Tech's site (www.bfgtech.com) and rather liked what they had. After speaking with them, I really liked what they had and decided they needed my money. So I purchased a ti4600 (not a bad price with a nice warranty and 24/7/365 phone support) and a separate tuner card from Compro.

First time a non-ati card is gonna go into my system. But man! Them BFG boys know their stuff. Now if newegg only carried their cards.

This is as good a thread as any, since the sort of people who read this thread are most likely the sort of people who recognize me and might care that I am now a moderator.

In other words, D-R,Toby, & BobbyMike won't ever have to read my leftist rants again.

You assume that they read them to begin with...

As usual, your perception is razor sharp. BTW, am I the only person who doesn't get the little dotted envelopes showing up in threads in which I've participated anymore? And another thing, weren't there more pages in this thread at one time?

Why? I'm a mod and still post my leftish rants... as mods we should be able to post personal views too, I allways add a note if I put my mod hat on.. but most of the time I'm wearing my ToolkiT hat...

Ahh...OK. Us old useless VisorCentralites haven't seen the crush.

I've never changed my posts per page setting. Did the default change?

Sorry, but the correct response would have been "As you wish." HTH. HAND.

You've obviously never visited my website. The answer is definitely yes. Tried, succeeded, and even won a medal once (in the specialty beer category of one of the biggest homebrew competitions in the states). I've been in a lull for a while ever since my daughter was born, but I'm itching to start up again.

If you look at that little row of buttons along the bottom of any of my posts, you'll see one that says "www". Click it.

Cool. I've only had one that wasn't at least good (sanitization and careful procedures will give you at least decent results every time), but it was an experiment with tea (celestial seasonings lemon zinger). A couple people liked it, but it made me nauseous.

Dagnabbit

Given the absence of little dot thingies, I just now saw that there were new posts in this thread that I participate, somehow against my own free will , in.

When are the little dot thingies coming back? Toby and I would like to know.

Cool

odd, I've still got my little dot thingies. [points to avatar]

iTunes is available for windows

Sounds as good and runs much more stable than AudioStation6. Uses up to 10% of my processing power vs. AudioStation's 4%, but that's to be expected.
