I've seen a couple of mentions of people who've seen the Visor on TV (wasn't it on the Donny and Marie Show?). I've also heard that in the Pretender Series, Jarod uses a PDA himself. (tho' I think it's a PalmIII).

Can we throw into this thread any and all cameos of (most notably) the Visor or any at all PDAs in the media? The reason for this is because I just saw American Beauty...one of the characters films all the time on one of the latest kinds of digital (I assume) camcorder. My thought was that if somebody in such a film (not of the sciFi or 007 genre, of course) whipped out a Palm or other PDA, it would be totally out of place.

e.g. Cell phones used to be just for the rich and powerful when seen in movies. Then there was a time they were used to poke fun at people (like with Robin William in Hook); stereotypical business people, or the old, "beepbeep"-and-everybody-pulls-out-their-phone-and-looks-at-it joke.

There was an Ally McBeal ep recently where a doctor entered an appt. in a Palm III.

I was flipping through the channels the other day, when I flipped right past the image of a Graphite Visor Deluxe, when I stopped and flipped back I was supprised to find out that it was MTV that had had it on. It was just a few seconds that I saw it before they went to comercial.

On Felicity, a Palm IIIe was given as a gift.

On Law and Order, a Palm something or other was gathered from a crime scene.

This may not be exactly what you were looking for but. At peanutpress.com (they have e-books downloadable to PDAs) there are Visor Deluxes in the webpage it. I've seen an orange and a blue there.

This morning, I was flipping around the TV looking for news, when what should appear but the elusive cell phone module and a visor dlx.

It was on the Good Morning America show (or whatever they call it now!). It was on their new section of the show devoted to "connected technology". Ooooo.....ahhhhh, i'm impressed. I'll defiantly tune in. *grin*

The neat thing was that they only had one palm there (the VII) and they showed the Visor longer!!!!

In the fantasy episode of Friends (you know, the one where Monica was still fat, Joey was still on Days of Our Lives, etc.) Phoebe was using a Palm III in her life as a stock broker.

Well, it is not too interesting, but I will mention it anyway...
Today's (04/10) NewYork Times has picture of a blue Visor Deluxe on the first page of the business section. I haven't read the article, though. I forgot the paper at home, so I'll probably read it online, but I don't think that they will have the picture there.

Anyway, maybe somebody is interested and wants to check it out...
