Plat got wet - got a Dlx - ???

Ok.
I bought a Platium in 2001...I think .. and did not use it till this summer. well I used it .. but I mean really used it... I have the keyboard stoaway and a compact flash.

Question... my Plat got wet. I took it apart and let it dry. It works but the batteries (new ones - double checked) do not register as being full and in a day or overnight the plat will hard reset and I lose my data. So...

I went to Fry's and got a recon Dlx for 79$.

How much of a difference will I notice? Speed? It seems fine. I just did not want to spend more $ and then have to get my accessories....

Please advise.
