-- Need a for Samsung & Prism Like This One... (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=12771)

Question

Does anyone know of a product similar to this one that would work with a Samsung 8500 phone and a Prism?

This is the Connectivity Toolkit for the Palm III Series Handhelds link. The case allows the phone and the PDA to remain in the case during the wireless connectivity. Note that the cable and software contained in the kit is not compatible with the Visor.

Turns out it was (but no longer is) more complicated than you though. Go though this thread:

As for a leather case that will fill your needs, see if they'll sell you one w/o the hardware, I guess.

Case

Try the Rhioskin 3000 case.

Exclamation Exactly What I Wanted

I am looking for that exact kind of case. Do you think it will fit a Samsung 3500? I could care less about the cable.

Here is another case I really like, saw it in person too, but it is waaay too expensive for my taste.

I don'tt care for the Rhinoskin, not professional enough looking, I think.

There's a Targus case as well, it's about $60 according to their website and is slightly more expensive, but the it doesn't list Visors as being compatible with it.

I agree and I already have the coach case and it is very professional looking. The phone holder works well with the Samsung 8500 (and other phones). Unfortunately, you can't connect the phone to the Visor without removing the phone from the case unless you modify the case by cutting a hole in the bottom of the phone holder. Warning: The velcro on this case is the tightest that I've had so it is important to NOT place the velcro on the back of a SB.

I'd like a case that will hold both the Samsung 8500 phone and the Visor while both are in operation AND look as professional as this coach case.

dietrichbohn,
Unfortunately, the Kyocera case is not designed for the Samsung 8500.

My thoughts exactly. When you way that it has tight velcro, I assume you mean that it will possibly damage the springboard if you have velcro on it also?

BTW, how much did that case run you? I will be going to the Coach outlet in the near future and hope it will be under $100, hopefully under $90 if possible

Yes. If you put the velcro on the SB, you will damage the unit when you remove it from the case. It holds it very, very tightly. I put a very small patches on other places on the unit and I think it will be safe.

Unfortunately, I paid full price for that case because I ordered it directly from Coach. I might return it to them too since it damaged my Prism.
