I just got my Backup Module today and I found some things:

1.Problem with DSHACK (Daylight Saving Hack) It wil freeze my VDX. A soft reset will solve it but if you delete it the problem will go away.

2.Not really happy with the backup function. Is there a way to backup only the changed or updated databases instead of the whole PDA?

Any thoughts?

It all started way back in February 2000 with a Blue VDX.

The Backup module was designed for only one function, easy backup and restore of the VDX. Allowing for just updated files would require the use of Full, Incremental, and differential capabilities. These type of backups also require separate media for different ranges of backups. One media for the full, and then another to keep differentials and incrementals. Depends on the type of backup sets you want. There is also the problem with running out of media space. Backup software will request another blank media.
A flash springboard could be designed to accomplish this function, but then it would have to be in the price range of a CD-RW to be generally acceptable.
