visor pro batteries

I have a visor pro that I bought this summer and hope that it lasts for a very long time. It uses the rechargable batteries. I bought it at Best Buy and purchased their replacement plan. But that was before I knew that the visors were on the way out...now nobody really carries Visor Pros. Does anyone have any idea what will happen when my Pro's rechargable finally goes? When I bought it, I was told that if the battery died before the plan ran our(2 years) I could send the Pro back and they would replace the battery. Could that still be true now?? I do love my Visor, but am concerned because I cannot just put in a new battery myself.

The extended warranty should say something like: they will repair or replace the unit. If the exact model is not available, a comparable model will be provided.

You will likely not get another Pro, but end up with a more modern PDA!

Set an alarm for 1 month before the warranty runs out (2004?). Read the fine print. Make sure your Pro has a covered defect, then run back to Best Buy

I don't know where you would be able to get a new Li-Ion battery for a Pro. Yes, it should last about 2 years. It deteriorates gradually, so keep track of battery life. Battery Log will help. Keep it as full as possible for maximum life:

You can find batteries for popular, as well as discontinued PDA models at www.pdainternalbattery.com.

Their site does not show batteries for a Visor Pro.

Actually, I think the universal battery, PR2, will work for all Visor models.
