-- This was Wierd. Watch your batteries. (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=1775)
I just got my serial cradle and I went to do the initial Hotsync on this PC. When I was hotsyncing my Visor kept shutting off. I kept turning it back on and it would turn off in 1 second or mabey 5 seconds or sometimes immediatly. Even after the hotsync finished it was still happening. I replaced the batteries that were kinda low before the HS and were pretty low after the HS and now it seems fine. The visor did not give me a low bat warning. If you get NiMH rechargables, watch out at the low end of the battery charge!
I understand that the battery voltage meters in the Visor are calibrated for alkaline, and therefore do not accurately reflect remaining battery life when using NiMh batteries.
I have been told in other posts that there are hacks out there that can reset the voltage meters for NiMh batteries. Let me know if you find a good one as I am considering making the jump to NiMh (I've actually already bought them and the charger), but I want to be sure I am as informed as possible.
Good Luck
