Memplug, VFS and 3rd party launchers
Alright, I'm starting to get some of this stuff now...
recently picked up a memplug and am considering a 3rd party launcher for my new found Prism (thanks K Cannon - your prism will be well cared for
).
If I get one of these fancy launchers, will I be able to keep both the app and its related db on the CF card in the memplug?
Or do I need to pony up for PiDirect as well?
There are too many options on these new fangled (yet outdated) devices. It was much simpler when I had no choices.

Just kidding. Launchers, like LauncherX, allow you to store and launch the app from the card. Unfortunately, not the db.
The unregistered PiDirectII allows you to use 10 files on the card. I like how it lets me use gigantic Mapopolis maps with the 1.4MB RAM that I have left. Someday I will register.
PowerRun copies stuff from card to RAM.
Apps that are VFS-aware can use and store files on the card. Unfortunately, Mapopolis tries to copy the whole map to RAM if you don't use PiDirectII.
