-- Innogear pager (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=5179)
So, from the Innogear FAQ I am *still* unclear one this point: do I have to have
the visor SWITCHED ON while I'm waiting for
a page? It *sounds* like it's smart enough
to feed off the batteries on its own, but
they didn't indicate specifically in the FAQ.
Assumably, it will depress battery life, but
how much? If there is no display, though
(which a regular pager uses for the clock),
then maybe it doesn't suck off too much at all.
Anyone know?
Springboard modules can use some current from the Visor even when the Visor is off, so you should still get any pages. What the FAQ was emphasising was that if you take the module out of the Visor you would not receive any pages. I haven't read all of the pager services but some will resend pages when you return to your area. Maybe you'll get the page when you put the sboard module back in.
