Hi all,

I've decided that in the next month or two, I am going to upgrade from my Palm IIIx to a Visor. Someone posted elsewhere on this site to wait and see if some new Handspring product might appear for Christmas and thus drive the prices of the good old VDx down. That seemed like a good idea to me, and I can stand the wait. (I really have no need for a color screen.)

So now I am wondering what might be different about a Visor Deluxe purchased in a few months versus one that might be purchased now. Specifically:

- If I buy a Visor in, say, September, will it have the DRAM bug fixed already or will this potentially still be a problem?

- What about the OS? Any plans to put a later version of PalmOS in Visors in the next couple of months?

- What about that software patch that was recently released that I read about somewhere on here?

The upshot is, I might as well go ahead and buy the thing if it's going to have the DRAM bug, etc. still on it in September. But if the factory has already begun to fix this and make the usual upgrades, then I will wait.
