-- Stowaway left side paralysis! (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=15555)
I have been using my Stowaway with a Visor Deluxe for some months now, but recently (past couple of weeks) the keys on the left third of the keyboard have become nonresponsive, one by one. First the shift key wouldn't work (= you hit it and nothing happens). Then the next day the "1", "A", and caps lock key wouldn't work (in addition to the shift ket). This morning I noticed the "X" key doesn't work, although curiously enough the "Z" key does work.
My guess is that there is a problem with the green cable-ribbon thing (not an electronics person, sorry) that connects the left part of the keyboard to the middle. The black plastic that normally covers it is partially torn away so that a small portion of it is exposed. However, it had been like this for some time before the keys stopped working.
Any other ideas or thoughts on how to fix this?

Get a hold of Targus and have them replace the thing. A co-worker of mine broke one of the clips that holds the thing together in back (after he had a couple beers) and Targus replaced it right away with out questions.
