-- How do i work a regular modem with my visor (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=8116)
Is there a way i can connect my visor (regular and USB cradle) with an internal modem
If you're talking about the internal modem in your PC, basically the answer is no. There is an app over at PalmGear called PilotNet that works on Palms but I have not been able to use it with my Visor.
I really have to question why you want to do this though? If you're at your PC already (you must be if you're using the cradle), why use the Visor to connect? Just use the desktop... it's much easier (at least in my opinion
).

I just want to see how the visor modem would work and to see if its worth the purchase
Well, now... that explains it.
You might want to install AvantGo. It's an "off-line" browser (that can be used "on-line" as well) that will give you an idea of what the web might look like on a Visor. Of course, most of the AvantGo channels are designed around the limitations of the PDA screen... you might want to try their custom channel feature to see basic web pages.
Another option since you have a serial cradle would be to use an external modem to connect. You'll need a null modem adapter and probably a 9-pin to 25-pin adapter to connect to the modem. More details can be found here.
