Where are Visors manufactured, and for that matter Palm? In the USA, Taiwan, Mexico? Just curious....

Open your springboard slot cover. Mine says assembled in Malaysia.

Question

Mine doesn't say anything (Edge)! The Visor Deluxe is made in Malaysia, as Toby said, but that is first I've heard of Handspring products being assembled in Mexico.

I have no idea where the Edge is made now.

My Deluxe is made in Mexico. It is a fairly new warranty replacement.

"Assembled in Mexico"

My Edge (when you pull out the cover to look at the Edge Connector) says Assembled in Mexico =)

My first Deluxe was made in Malasia, my screen broke and I got it replaced. The replacement one is made in Mexico.

The funny thing is that I compared the two units before I sent the damaged unit to Handspring.
The two units were both ice colored, and when I took the springboard dummy out and looked at the back of the unit I could see that the boards on the two units were slightly different. Electronic compnents had a different layout and such!!!

Also as the ice model is partly see through, you can see the green frame around the screen through the plastic. The newer unit had a darker color of green around the screen, and it also had what looks to be silver colored stripes runnig down along the green frame.
It actually looks cooler.

Palm III's are made in Malaysia too. The Palm V's are made in Salt Lake City.

Cool Mfg. Palm's

A major manufacturing operation for Palm's is in Guadalajera, Mexico. Although, this location is primarily Palm.
