-- PalmGear Memory Modules in Handspring Catalog (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=15583)

I just got my new Handspring catalog today and it looks like PalmGear is offering its own branded 8mb & 16mb modules, pricing was not given.

Also in the catalog was Kensington's dial pad for the VisorPhone so you can use it outside the Visor, the Audible Advisor, WIPclip, and a neat case designed to work with oversized modules.

Did Handspring just send you one or did you have to request
one?

I think I got one for registering my Visor online, this is the 2nd one I've gotten in the mail - its an updated version of what comes in the box with the Visor.

Actually you can get it online at: http://handspring.resourceguide.net

Not that it is a big deal, but the VisorPhone Phone Keypad is made by Kensington, not Kingston.

Interestingly enough, they do not appear to mention this item on their website. It kind of makes me want a VisorPhone, knowing that I could use it outside the Visor. Of course, I already have a StarTac. Why carry my Visor, VisorPhone, and Phone Dialer. I mean, the whole point is about carrying less devices, not more.

It still strikes me as pretty cool though.

Kensington Dial Pad not on web page.

I did not see the dial pad on their web page. I have not bought the phone "yet" as I want a way to carry it without my VPR.

I got a catalog in the mail

I filled out the web page and the mailed the catalog rapidly.

Visor Phone keypad is in there but no price. I emailed Kensington and they said it will be released late summer and no price yet.

Good catch, now we have another company selling flash modules for less than Hagiwara.

Those prices still can't compete with flash card based storage though.

WooHoo! 4 stars!
