-- Ideas for a Case with oversized springboards? (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=3573)

Question

Hey all,

I have been spending an inordinate amount of time looking for a good case. Saw lots of 'em...only a few I really like (rhodiana and slipper). Everything else is too bulky or ugly.

But I was wondering if anybody has seen a case that is form fitting, but yet will allow for oversized springboards? It probably will have to have some sort of opening or some stretchy material where the spring board is to fit.

Thanks!

I am sure everyone of us is wondering in the back of our mind about how we are going to carry around one of the oversized spring boards once they actually go on sale. I want the GPS and MP3 boards.

Hey, Vital, I want those two Springboards too! Those will absolutely rock.

About cases, I've spent a lot of time on it too. I bid for an original Handspring case on Ebay. I was like the only bidder and was getting it for only $5, and at the last minute the bum pulled out. Oh well.

So I settled for an off-the-shelf 3Com Palm case. It's ok. The thing is, the velcro is right where the Springboard cover is. I had to put the velcro strip there. So now the Visor can come out if I remove the cover. I don't really like this, because if I'm not careful, the thing will fall out of the case.

Does the Handspring leather case have its velcro located elsewhere?

FYI-

The handspring case does not use velcro. I uses a sewn in version of the hard cover that came with your visor. This type of system will NOT allow for oversized springboards. Also, I read on these posts that the system tends to cause cracking of the visor's case.

You should probably look for a different case that is made for the Handspring. that way the velcro will be in the correct spot.
