-- Visor Generating it's Own Commands? (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=2247)

Intermittantly, my Visor behaves as if some unseen hand were entering commands. In memos, the category list will pop up without my touching the screen and the visor will beep. In Datebook+, the Visor automatically scrolls through dates as though I were tapping the forward arrow.

Switching the Visor off and on sometimes clears the problem. Does anyone know what is causing this? (As far as I can tell, the unit is working normally in all other respects).

Thanks.

Have you tried running the Digitizer app under Prefs/Digitizer? It should re-initialize how the Visor responds to screen taps. Perhaps when you did it the first time you touched the screen in an odd place.

I had a problem where menus and apps would "magically" appear if I squeezed the case too tightly (I'm not kidding, either). Re-running the digitizer settings and being extremely precise about where I tapped the screen fixed the problem.

It's nice to know my touch screen is extra sensitive. I guess that means I'd better be nice to it and tell it how wonderful it looks every morning... no, wait... that's the Mrs. I need to say that to...

Thanks to landtuna and MarkEagle for the tip. I'll try re-running the digitizer.

I now think this may be related to keeping the visor in the case with the screen facing outward.

(See my other post "Screen 'Oilslick'".
